Dana White Locates New Venue for UFC 249

After considerable warnings from medical experts across the United States, Dana White has located a new venue location for UFC 249. When questioned on where the UFC 249 is now being held, Dana White reacted poorly to ESPN Reporters and wouldn’t disclose the site. He did note that the PPV will go forward, with a large percentage of fighting analysts expecting this Pay-Per-View to have delayed profits. The lack of live audiences will diminish a large portion of the UFCs atmosphere. Regardless, dedicated supported can still expect a bout between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Tony Ferguson.

Dana White informed ESPN that both Ferguson and Nurmagomedov have been requesting the location for this new bout. There’s a significant issue behind Dana Whites plan, with many travel restrictions being implemented worldwide. This extends to the USA, not allowing for flights to the Middle East. That means Tony Ferguson couldn’t attend UFC 249 and it’d prompt the termination of these two men battling for the 3rd time.

UFC 249 was initially scheduled to begin on April 18th in Brooklyn, New York at the Barclays Center. Social distancing legislation was implemented by New York’s Mayor, which prompted the immediate closure of all sporting venues across NYC. It should be noted that Khabib Nurmagomedov is training in Russia, which would also cause challenges for the champion fighter. Russia is entirely locked down, and flights aren’t being accepted internationally.

Khabib Nurmagomedov is expected to win this battle whenever it takes place. He’s ranked 28-0 within the UFC. Tony Ferguson has won twelve fights back-to-back, with his most recent being Donald Cerrone at UFC 238. It should be noted that Dana White has postponed three venues with the Ultimate Fighters Championship since Covid-19 began. UFC 249 has been the single venue where Dana White has refused to cancel, as millions would be lost for this company.

The UFC President has been questioned numerous times by reporters regarding the April 18th venue. It prompted for Dana White to unexpectedly snap on these reporters, telling them he doesn’t care what they think and that their foolish individuals. The tone and words used by Dana White were considerably harsher.
