Kamal Shalorus

On Saturday June 20 Kamal captured the Supreme Warrior Challenge Welterweight championship in Dallas Texas.  Continuing his undefeated streak in mma Kamal is now the Supreme Warrior Challenge and King of Kombat Championship Welterweight championship.  Kamal also signed to fight for WEC and is set to fight Alex Karalexsis at the WEC’s event on November 18 at the Palms in Las Vegas.  Kamal is gunning for the WEC title to make him the only man in mixed martial arts to ever hold championships from three separate organizations.  Don’t bet against him!

 

Kamal Shalorus began wrestling at the age of 9.  Kamal was a member of the Iranian Junior National team and claimed the Iranian Junior National championship while  in high school.  Kamal went on to win the 2001 Commonwealth Games National championship in England as well as competing for Great Britain in the 2004 olympics where he was recognized as the number 5 freestlyle wrestler in the world in his weight class.  From there Kamal went on to study catch wrestling in England and sambo in Russia adding lethal submissions to his already devastating freestyle wrestling game.  Kamal defeated world Shooto champion Joakim Hanson and the number one ranked ju jitsu player in the world Saulo Ribiero at the World Abu Dhabi Championships or ADCC.  Kamal is the current King of Kombat cage fighting champion in the welterweight division and is an undefeated mixed martial artist.  Kamal trains at Pat Miletich’s Competitive Training Center where he is also the wrestling instructor.  Granimal has remarked referencing his good friend Kamal “I have wrestled alot of dudes including quite a few all american wrestlers and Kamal is pound for pound the finest grappler I have ever locked up with.”
